– what isn't covered?

As with all insurance policies, general exclusions apply. The following is a summary of the main exclusions and limitations:

• Emergency and urgent treatment will not be covered
• On-going, recurrent or long-term treatment of long-term illnesses (usually referred to as 'chronic conditions') are not covered
• Treatment available on the NHS within six weeks will not be covered - with the exception of outpatient treatment received before diagnosis
• We will only cover outpatient costs when the treatment is received within three months of the related eligible in-patient or day-patient treatment.
